iOS App + Web · No Account Required

Every thing has a person behind it.
Message them.

Turn a QR code into a real-world notification

Stick a TextTag on your car, your gate, your bike, a package, a tool — anything that matters to you. Anyone who scans it sends you one message, and you're connected. No account, no chat app to join, and no phone numbers exchanged or privacy lost.

Your first TextTag is free Coming soon — in App Store review

Scan. Send. Reply.

A notification service, not a chat app. One short exchange between two people who never have to meet or exchange numbers.

1

Put up a tag

Stick a TextTags code on whatever it's about — a windshield, a gate, a bike, a job-site tool. Anything you want people to be able to reach you over.

2

They send one message

A scan opens a quick, relevant message and sends it — no downloads, no account, no chat window to figure out.

3

You reply, privately

You get it in the TextTags app and reply from there. Neither side ever sees the other's phone number.

The Scan

One scan, one tap, done

Whoever scans your tag lands on your intro card — a photo and a short note from you — plus a list of ready-made messages for that kind of thing. "Your lights are on." "You're blocking me in." "I found this." One tap sends it.

It works in any phone's camera and browser. Nobody has to install anything or create an account to reach you.

Category-specific quick messages — cars, bikes, pets, packages, and more
Works in mobile Safari or Chrome — no app required for the scanner

The Reply

Replies land in your app, privately

You get a push notification the moment someone scans and sends. Reply from the app; they see it live in their browser. Send a photo, ask for one, and wrap it up — no thread to maintain, no contact to add.

Every message routes through TextTags, both ways. Neither of you ever learns the other's phone number, email, or identity.

Your Tags

Every tag gets its own QR code

Make as many tags as you have things. Each one has a name, a category, an icon, and its own QR code you can share, copy, or download as PNG or SVG. One tag holds as many independent conversations as people scan it.

Scan counts, days active, and unread badges per tag
Pause a tag, require the app to reply, or destroy it — anytime
Secret Tags: name one “#4821 Locker” and it hides from every list and notification

Print Shop

Print it. Stick it anywhere.

Design a sticker, magnet, pin, or luggage tag around your QR code right in the app. Pay with Apple Pay, and it's printed and shipped to your door with tracking.

Or skip the shop entirely — download the QR and print it yourself.

What people say through a tag

"Your lock is open or broken" "I found this bike — I think it's lost" "It's blocking a door or ramp"

Keys & Wallet

"I found them — I still have them" "I turned them in to lost and found" "I gave them to the front desk"

Built to know as little as possible

A short exchange between two anonymous parties doesn't generate much to protect — and that's the best privacy guarantee there is.

Nothing private required

No accounts, no sign-ups, no email addresses, no phone numbers, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics. Scanning a tag — or making one — never requires handing over personal information. Every message routes through TextTags, both ways.

Every message is screened by AI

With the Safety Filter on, Claude classifies each message, intro card, display name, and print design before it's delivered — and fails closed, so anything it can't clear never reaches you. Scans are rate-limited so nobody can spam your phone.

Everything a tag can do

Unlimited Tags & Conversations

One tag per thing, as many things as you like. Each tag holds every conversation from every scan, independently.

Works Without the App

Scanners chat from a mobile web page. If they have the app, the link opens there instead with push notifications.

Realtime + Push

Live two-way chat while both sides are present. When your app is closed, replies arrive as push notifications.

AI Safety Filter

Per-tag toggle. Messages, intros, names, and artwork are classified by Claude before publish — and blocked if in doubt.

Secret Tags

Start a tag's name with a code like #4821 and it vanishes from lists, badges, and notification text. Rename to reveal.

Print Shop

Stickers, magnets, pins, and luggage tags designed in-app, paid with Apple Pay, printed and shipped with tracking.
